Religious Organisations

Bexhill & District Jewish Friends
Bexhill & District Jewish Friends is a new Group started by people who live in and around Bexhill-on-Sea. We are a friendly, like-minded group of people who want to keep in touch with the Jewish religion by having a monthly Friday night Service and who wish to celebrate Passover, Yom Kippur, New Year and Chanukah etc. in a family atmosphere. We are Reform/Liberal in our beliefs.

Our Friday Service is followed by a social evening and where appropriate, we may sometimes have a speaker. We have a Ladies Social Group which meets once a month in people’s homes and organises various outings.

Hastings & District Jewish Society
The Society, which is a charitable organisation and is now in its 31st year, normally meets on the first Friday of the month at 7.00pm for a Service in Bexhill. This is followed by a social and refreshments. There is often a speaker who is willing to talk to members about a topic of interest. We organise a Chanukah party, a Passover Evening and a Rosh Hashanah Service and lunch. We also support events held by other Jewish Communities along the coast. We organise outings, meet socially in members' homes and work closely with other affiliated groups. All enquiries are very welcome.
